NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mayor-elect, Megan Barry, was presented with her Mayoral Certificate of Election Friday, officially making her the first woman elected mayor in Nashville.
Barry has added Charles Robert Bone as lead to her transition team. He was one of her opponents in the mayoral race.
“It’s very exciting. It’s very exciting to be able to come down here, to be part of the election commission certification process, and then to have then certify the results and then to be the mayor elect of Nashville,” said Barry.
She was set to be sworn in to office September 25, 2015.
