BEDFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Members of the Bedford County EMS squad lost one of their own over the weekend.
Captain Chris Wrenn died Saturday as he tried to help a friend clear trees off his land. One of the trees split and fell on top of Wrenn.
Co-workers say Wrenn never gave it a second thought to lend a helping hand to friends and family.
And in the new year, folks at Bedford County EMS hope you will resolve to be more like Captain Wrenn.
"Be loving and caring," said Assistant Director Brett Young. "Be 100% dedicated to everything you do. That's what he was, whether he was volunteering coaching a soccer team, riding his motorcycle or working here. Whatever service he may have worked at, he was 100% bought in, 100% dedicated."
Captain Chris Wrenn was 52 years old --- an EMT in the mid-state for more than 25 years.
