Extra counselors will be on hand for students in Sumner County after a teen was killed in a car crash.
Reports stated 16-year-old Coleman Midgett passed away Friday. He was a student at Beech High School.
Two other Sumner County students were also injured in the wreck Friday night and remained in the hospital as of Sunday.
Midgett was survived by his parents, grandparents, and three sisters.
His visitation has been planned for Monday from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m. at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Tuesday at Long Hollow Baptist Church. His funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Sumner County Schools released a statement saying:
"Beech High School, the Beech community and Sumner County Schools grieves the loss of Coleman Midgett. Coleman was well liked by his fellow students and his teachers and will be greatly missed."
