A Belle Meade Police officer was fired from the job after he was arrested and charged for allegedly stealing prescription pills from a family member.
Officer Donald Lawnman, 42, was fired Friday. He was charged with a misdemeanor theft charge.
The victim reported seeing Lawnman take pills from the prescription medication bottle.
He had been working with the department since February of this year.
