A Sumner County man was arrested after his wife was found dead inside their home.
Deputies from the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office were called to the home of Duffer Hollow Road in Bethpage early Sunday morning.
They said 52-year-old Ivory Johns called 911 emergency dispatchers to say she had been in a fight with her husband and needed an ambulance.
By the time emergency medical crews got to the home, they found her dead from a gunshot wound.
Investigators took 49-year-old James Johns into custody and booked into jail.
Details about what led to the shooting were not available.
James Johns was booked into jail. He was being held without bond.
