About 70 people rappelled from the top of the Omni Hotel in a fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nashville held the "Over the Edge" fundraiser at the Omni Friday.

They raised more than $100,000 with the help of all kinds of people.

"We've got everybody from policemen to political folks, PR, newspaper, lawyers, big brothers, big sisters, real estate people, it goes all across the gammit."

Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children age 6-18 by pairing them with a good role model. CEO Carlyle Carroll said they serve a lot of children who have parents that are incarcerated or who don't have a parent.
