Northbound lanes of Interstate 65 have fully reopened after a medical waste spill early Wednesday morning.
The issue was reported around 2:30 a.m. near McEwen Drive. Officials said the vehicle was hauling medical waste.

At least two lanes were blocked while the cleanup continued. Crews were seen picking up debris along the interstate.
At one point, traffic was backed up about six miles.
