Blackman High School temporarily returns to virtual learning due to COVID-19

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Blackman High School will be closed and students will learn remotely from Fri., Nov. 6, to Thurs., Nov. 12 due to COVID-19.

Rutherford County school officials informed parents of an increased number of students and staff members who are in COVID-19 quarantine. And the school will be closed for a few days to allow time for some of them to complete their quarantine period.

Officials said the school will also be thoroughly cleaned while closed. The school’s administration will follow-up with you about logistics concerning distance learning.

Stewarts Creek High School, which was set to reopen Friday, however, will be pushed to Monday, Nov. 9. School officials say additional staff needs time to return from quarantine.
