BNA Hit With Eclipse Travelers Returning Home

Posted

The Nashville International Airport felt the aftermath of the total solar eclipse as travelers headed home.

Nashville international says the airports busiest eclipse travel day will be Tuesday, as the airport suspects some local residents who would have normally left town Monday waited so they could see the solar eclipse.

the Airport says 20,500 people left through BNA on Monday, and on Tuesday that number will jump to 24,500 -- almost a record for the airport.

23,000 people will leave on Wednesday.

Compare all that to a typical day at BNA, when there are only 18,000 departing travelers.
