Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents and Gallatin Police officers responded to a Gallatin hotel after a man was found dead in a hotel room.
A member of the hotel cleaning crew discovered the man dead around noon Wednesday in a second floor room at the Baymont Inn and Suites on Sumner Hall Drive.
After police arrived on the scene, the TBI was called to assist the department with collecting and processing evidence.
The TBI idenitifed the man as 56-year-old Albert Steakley. He was originally from Kentucky, but had been living in the Gallatin area for several years. He had been living at the hotel for several days.
Gallatin Police and the TBI determined his death was accidental. The investigation is ongoing and pending the autopsy and toxicology results.
The hotel will remain open for business during the investigation.
