MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman's body was found near the railroad tracks near Patterson Avenue and Old Salem Road in Murfreesboro.
Police confirmed an adult female was located and was "obviously deceased."
Sources told NewsChannel 5 the woman suffered a wound to the head. The exact cause of death is under investigation, but homicide has not yet been ruled out.
A large police presence was at the scene.
