WRIGLEY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Authorities have recovered the body of a missing Hickman County woman.

Sheriff Randal Ward confirmed the body of Carolyn Pope was found around 8 p.m. Wednesday in a wooded area of Wrigley near power lines.

Warrants were issued for two men, Mitchell Hinderliter and Christopher Hall for abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and false report. Both men were already in jail on unrelated charges.

Her cause of death was not yet known. Sheriff Ward said an autopsy is underway.

Pope had been missing for nearly two weeks.

Friends and family called her disappearance suspicious because her car was found on the side of the road. Her sim card was also missing from her phone.

The 29-year-old leaves behind a young daughter.

The investigation into her death is still active. The Hickman County sheriff's office expects more charges to be filed in the future.
