A male body has been recovered from the Cumberland River.
Metro Nashville firefighters performed a water rescue at 508 Davidson Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Fire officials said the man has not been identified, but his body was being taken to the Shelby boat ramp.
At that point investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department would take over the case.
Police had not yet released the person's name.
