A little boy battling an aggressive form of leukemia at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital asked people to send him cards to help him celebrate his third birthday. On Sunday, he celebrated his big day, and at last count, he had received almost 3,000 cards from strangers across the world.
We first told you about Isaiah Davis earlier this week. He's a toddler from Christiana who has idolized Spiderman. Superhero-themed birthday cards have poured into his hospital room from places like Australia and every state in the U.S.

"Every time he opens one, it’s like the most special one he’s ever received," said Isaiah's father, JJ. "It gives him so much love in his heart he continues to give and gives him strength to fight towards what we’re fighting towards every day."
Isaiah has still been facing a long battle against his cancer, but his father said this day and the outpouring of support is something the family will carry with them as they work through Isaiah's treatment.
"The one thing he needs to remember from this birthday is love. There’s been so much love shown from so many places, people that have never even met him," JJ said. "They’ve shown appreciation for what he’s going through. That would be the best word to describe what we’re going through. No matter where you’re at or what you’re going through in your life, love will always be there if you reach out and try to find it."
