NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Breuna Jackson sank three of four free throws in the final 24 seconds to boost Brentwood Academy over Ensworth 48-44 Saturday for the Tennessee Division II Class AA Girls state championship.

Jackson hit two foul shots for a 45-44 lead, and Anna Stephens sank two more with 3.4 seconds left to seal the victory. The Lady Eagles (23-6) avenged last year's finals loss for their first crown since 2006.

Sydni Harvey was named tourney MVP for BA, which trailed early 17-3. Harvey and Jackson (8 of 10 free throws) finished with 14 points apiece.

Georgia State signee Kennesha Nichols had all her 15 points in the first half and Brelle Smith added 12 for the Lady Tigers (23-3). Nichols scored Ensworth's first 11 points on the way to a 13-1 lead.

Jackson scored seven points during a 13-2 run to start the third quarter that gave BA its first lead, 30-28.

Bria Dial had six fourth-quarter points and stole the ball after Jordyn Cambridge put Ensworth ahead 44-43 with two free throws.
