Bridgestone Arena Reveals Major Upgrades

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -  Officials at Bridgestone Arena announced some major upgrades to the building Wednesday.

They wanted to make sure word of the changes got out to fans, so that they would know what to expect.

All the seats in the lower bowl have been replaced, with a new seat that included a cup holder. They said a large number of seats were even increased in size.

Bathrooms also got an upgrade. Every faucet was considered a “hand washing station.” At each one was a touch-less faucet, soap dispenser, and dryer.

“As you can see in these counter tops there are no sinks in them which throws people off when they come in to wash their hands, but it’s a very efficient system. It’s maintenance friendly, and very easy to clean,” said Tim Friedenberger, Vice President of Facility Operations.

They also announced changes to the food court and Patron Platinum Club. Tacos, southern barbecue, Asian stir-fry, were all included in the food court. They had a big industrial smoker with a rotisserie where you can see things being cooked, and that's not all.

“You'll see a big round hood - a 60” Mongolian BBQ grill is going into that, and fans will see cooks and different chefs scattered around the grill cooking their burgers cooking their hot dogs, their signature sausages, taking them off of the grill and serving them fresh to the fans,” said John Donvito with Delaware North Food Services

They also had new LED lightning, and metal detectors at each entrance.
