Officials with Robertson County Schools said a brief lockdown was held as a precaution at a local middle school.

Springfield Middle School was placed under the brief lockdown due to a potential phone call threat.

The lockdown began around 10 a.m. Wednesday and lasted about an hour and a half.

School officials said the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office determined the call was not directed at the middle school. Further details were not available.
