As three bright lights streaked across the Nashville sky Saturday night, some people across the metro took to social media asking if the mid-state was being invaded by UFOs.

But it wasn't aliens or a meteor or a plane, it was the Black Daggers: the US Army Special Operations Command parachute demonstration team.

The team jumped into Vanderbilt Stadium before the Commodores' game against Ole Miss Saturday night. The Black Daggers are based at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, but jump all over the country. Saturday, the soldiers jumped with flares attached to their boots, lighting up the Nashville sky.

"It's exciting for me honestly," Master Sergeant Chris Malone said. "This has happened in other cities we've gone to, and we try to let the local news stations in town know whats going on, but it's nothing crazy, I promise, just some Special Operations soldiers falling out of the sky."

The Black Daggers were also honored during halftime of Vanderbilt's game.
