NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was arrested after he allegedly smashed his way into a Donelson gas station overnight and stole cash from the register.

According to an affidavit, Jason Donnie Pack has been accused of breaking into a BP station on McGavock Pike shortly after midnight.

Metro police said the business’s door had been smashed and money was lying at the entrance. Blood was also found behind the counter after the burglar apparently cut himself on the shattered glass.

Surveillance video showed a white bald man burst through the front door and enter the business. The footage also revealed that he stumbled into a wall and fell against the glass.

He grabbed cash from the register and ran out to a waiting car.

About two hours later, an officer pulled over a vehicle in which Pack was riding. He matched the description of the suspect and police said a bloody t-shirt was found on the floorboard.

Investigators said he had a large amount of cash in $1’s and $5’s in his pocket.

Pack was taken into custody and was allegedly too intoxicated to be interviewed. He was charged with burglary, among other charges.
