NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Utah family of three is taking on the 50 states of America and today they landed in music city.
Bryce, Nellie and 1-year-old Avie Jurgy plan to visit all 50 states. On Sunday they landed in state number 39, Tennessee.
At each destination they leave behind hidden treasures in a glass bottle, with the hopes of inspiring others to explore.
"In each state we show different family adventures and then provide the same opportunity," said Nellie. "For example, when we were in New York we did a helicopter tour and we buried a treasure with a helicopter tour inside."
All you have to do is go on their YouTube page and follow their clues, the clues will lead you to the hidden treasure.
"It forces families or friends to spend time with each other and do what really matters," said Nellie.
This adventure for the Jurgy's was inspired by a cancer scare. Three years ago the Jurgy's were waiting for test results. Thankfully, Nellie tested negative for breast cancer.
"During that two week period time of waiting for results this mental shift happen," said Bryce, "Life can change like that so lets make the most of it."
Bryce and Nellie quit their jobs and sold all of their belongings, trading it in for this RV. Their first stop was California and their last stop will most likely be Hawaii.
