Business Booms On Broadway

When patrons step into a honky tonk on lower Broadway, they've been able to expect to hear great live music, but not just on the first and second floor.

Many venues host multiple stories of music, and Crazy Town has been one of those places. While it only opened in the spring, it's quickly becoming a go to spot for both visitors and locals.

The company who has owned it knows a little about the Nashville market.

"Here we have Tequila Cowboy, we have Gracie's Ice Cream, WannaB's Karaoke Bar, around the corner we have Luigi's City Pizza. Then coming soon Sun Diner, the 24 hour diner. Then across the street we have Crazy Town," TC Restaurant Group Vice President Kevin Keller said.

TC Restaurant Group has been one of the power houses on lower Broad, but it's newest venture focuses on food.

NewsChannel 5 got a sneak peak inside the Sun Diner which sits just off Broadway on 3rd Avenue.

The 24 hour diner will host a menu fitting for its name, specializing in artists and music from the Sun Record Company.

"We thought the diner fit, you get out here and you watch the late night crowd getting out of the bars and looking for a place to go eat. We've always done well at Luigi's late night, so why not add another piece and it's a great throw back diner with an open kitchen, great food, and unique stuff," said Keller.

With six businesses on Broadway already, who knows what the future holds.

"If we could continue to open places in Nashville we absolutely would. We're always looking for new places here. It's a great town, great city, and an excellent street," Keller said.
