NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Music City can add another nickname, Sports City.
Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal named Nashville the best sports city in the United States this year.
It was a year of sports action to remember in Nashville; whether it was hosting the 2019 NFL Draft and SEC Men's Basketball Tournament, being the home of Titans and Predators or multiple soccer games.
The 600,000+ fans who attended the NFL Draft set a record for attendance. The draft also set a record for spending, nearly doubling the money spent at the 2018 NFL Draft in Dallas.
The journal also cited the Titans 20-7 home record over the past three seasons, good for fourth-best in the NFL.
