Car Burglar Caught Again

Posted

A convicted car burglar was arrested again after being caught in the act.

Metro Nashville Police officials said 32-year-old Alex Mitsky sped away from officers in a stolen SUV, but crashed.

He then bailed out of the vehicle and ran into a wooded area, but couldn't hide for long.

Metro K-9 officer Zeke found Mitsky in the bushes.

Mitsky was convicted of auto burglary and credit card fraud in December 2014 and received two consecutive four year sentences.

He was arrested in January of this year on charges of auto burglary and fraudulently using the victim’s credit card.  He wound up pleading guilty to two counts of misdemeanor theft in General Sessions Court on May 4th and received two probated 11month, 29 day sentences.

By May 12th, Mitsky was alleged to have violated the terms of his probation.  The court issued two violation warrants which were still active at the time of his arrest this afternoon.
