A car was destroyed overnight when fire broke out at a south Nashville garage.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday at a detached garage on Ashley Drive.
The car's owner said she had a full tank of gas when she got home. She later woke up to a strange smell and saw something oddly bright outside.
She looked out the window and saw one wall of the garage on fire with flames going up the rafters.
The woman called 911 and tried to spray it with a garden hose – that's when the blaze really took off and erupted.
Both the car and garage were destroyed. The cause of the fire was not yet known.
No one was hurt in the blaze. There was no damage to the house.
