Metro Nashville Police crash investigators have determined the vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run crash on I-440.
Officials said the car involved was a 2002-2005 satin silver Honda Civic Si hatchback.
Witnesses also described the suspect car as having blue undercarriage lighting.
The Honda may also have other modifications including lowered suspension and tinted windows.
Investigators believe the driver of that car hit 44-year-old Lan T. Luong on April 22 on I-440 east near the Richardson Avenue overpass at 8 p.m.
Luong was taken to the hospital, but later died from her injures on April 28.
Witnesses on I-440 told police the Honda was driving fast when it hit Luong, who was walking in the striped area between the travel lanes and the acceleration/merge lanes from West End Avenue.
The crash damaged the Honda’s passenger side including a missing side mirror. Witnesses said the driver stopped momentarily and then accelerated away.
Anyone with information about the Honda and/or its driver was urged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or the Emergency Communications Center at 615-862-8600.
