A caregiver in Hermitage has been charged with murder.
Authorities said 30-year-old Weekly Sainvil’s death was being investigated by agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, and the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Officials said Sainvil was developmentally disabled.
Sainvil was pronounced dead moments after he arrived at the hospital on October 28, 2015.
Employed by Restoration Residential Services to give in-home care to Sainvil at that time was 52-year-old David Wiltz.
According to an autopsy, the manner of death was homicide caused by blunt force neck injuries.
The investigation revealed Wiltz was allegedly the person responsible for Sainvil’s injuries.
An indictment charging Wiltz with one count of second degree murder was returned May 9.
He was arrested Friday night and booked into the Davidson County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
