Back-To-School Bash

  • Where: Nashville, St. Edward Church, 188 Thompson Lane
  • When: Saturday, July 28, noon to 3 p.m.
  • What: Free sling bags with school supplies for the first 300 students, free hotdog lunches with popsicles, music and dance party, giveaways, bounce houses, games, sign-ups for appointments for free physicals and vaccinations (ages 0-18), and an appearance by the Titans' mascot

Free Backpack With School Supplies

  • Where: Life Church (all 4 campuses in the Upper Cumberland Area)
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • What: Free back packs for the first 4,500 students (grades K-8th), free bounce houses and food
  • More: Parent and child must be present

Free School Backpack Giveaway

  • Where: East Main Church of Christ Annex Building in Murfreesboro (300 East Main Street)
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 9 a.m. to noon
  • What: Backpacks for children pre-kindergarten through 6th grade

Back To School Give-A-Way

  • Where: Nashville, Hartman Park, 2801 Tucker Road
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 9 a.m. to noon
  • What: 100 backpacks to be given with school supplies, free haircuts, free eye exams 
  • More: Gently used clothes and shoes (men’s, women’s, and children’s)

6th Annual Love’s Healthy Start Fest

  • Who: Hosted by Rep. Harold Love Jr.
  • Where: Hadley Park
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 9 a.m. to noon
  • What: Information from local schools and universities, school supplies, resources, and tips for heading back to school

Back To School Bash

  • Where: Robertson County, Springfield Middle School
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • What: Free school supplies, free backpacks for the first 1,000 students in line

Free School Supplies

  • Where: Hermitage, Stateland Baptist Church, 4650 Wright Avenue
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • What: School supplies, food, bounce houses (water slide included), and fellowship

3rd Annual Community Cookout

  • Who: Hosted by OKAS, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
  • Where: Murfreesboro, Patterson Community Center
  • When: Saturday, July 28, noon to 4 p.m.
  • What: Free food, fun games and activities, and backpacks filled with school supplies

Stuff The Bus

  • Who: Cheatham County School District
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • What: Buses will be parked at three locations across Cheatham County for the community to drop off school supplies. (Walmart in Ashland City, Dollar General Market in Pleasant View, and Dollar General in Kingston Springs) Residents have been asked to purchase school supplies and bring them to the bus. The supplies will be divided among Cheatham County schools and given to students in need.

Back To School Expo

  • Who: Coffee County Schools
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Where: Manchester, Coffee County High School, 100 Raider Drive
  • What: School supplies, food, clothing and shoes, haircuts, back packs; Job fair for parents and working-age students

2nd Annual Inglewood Day To Support Non Violence Awareness

  • When: Saturday, July 28, noon to 6 p.m.
  • Where: Nashville, South Inglewood Community Center, 1624 Rebecca St. 
  • What: Games, free food, free haircuts, basketball camp, balloon release, community photo

6th Annual MidTN Community Health Fair

  • Who: Hosted by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Brentwood Alumni Chapter
  • When: Saturday, July 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Where: Antioch, Southeast Community Center, 5260 Hickory Hollow Parkway
