Student, driver injured in Williamson Co. school bus crash

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WTVF) — A student and driver were injured in a school bus crash in Williamson County.

According to Brentwood Police officials, a school bus crashed into a SUV at the intersection of Wilson Pike and Moores Lane around 3 p.m.

Seven children were on the bus at the time of the crash, and one child was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The bus driver was also taken to the hospital, but their injuries were unknown. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

School officials say the bus was traveling from Ravenwood High School. According to police, the bus driver may have suffered from a medical event in the moments leading up to the crash.

The bus hit the SUV, which was stopped before exiting Morning Pointe. No charges will be filed.
