A convicted child rapist was arrested shortly after being added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Top 10 Most Wanted List after escaping from a county jail.
Joel Ernest Blanton escaped from the Van Buren County jail early Monday morning.
Blanton has several tattoos on his hands and arms.
He was set to be sentenced on his convictions on Wednesday, before escaping custody this morning.

A reward of up to $2,500 was offered for information leading to his arrest. He was taken into custody Monday evening in Warren County.
