CROFTON, Ky. (WTVF) — An 8-year-old was taken to a youth facility after he reportedly threatened his babysitter with a knife and took her car.

A Christian County deputy responded to a call from McBride Lane of a child out of control.

When the deputy, got to the scene the babysitter told him the child had threatened her with a knife then taken her car, but the kid didn't get very far, because the vehicle got stuck in the mud.

The child then made obscene gestures toward deputies as they got him out of the car.

He was taken to Cumberland Hall which is a facility in Hopkinsville. According to the deputy that responded to the call, the babysitter is not going to press any charges.
