Child with special needs drowns in bathtub, Metro police investigating

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police are investigating the drowning death of a girl in a bathtub Monday night in Antioch.

An 11-year-old girl with special needs was found unconscious and submerged in the bathtub of her family home on Johnson Pass Drive.

She was rushed to an area hospital, where she later died. Additional details were not yet known.

Youth Services detectives, along with the Metro police are investigating.
