The Combating Hunger on Wheels or "CHOW" program has received the first ever "Shining Star Award" from the Tennessee Department of Human Services.
It helps feed children in Murfreesboro City Schools during the summer.
The school system refurbished two buses to help transport hot meals to kids all across the city when school is not in session.
This past summer it provided nearly $100,000 meals for students.
