CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Montgomery County woman has been charged in the death of her infant daughter.
Officials with the Clarksville Police Department said 24-year-old Stefany Paige Johnson has been charged with Criminal Homicide after the death of 7-month-old daughter Astrid Johnson.
Officers were called to the 1300 block of Sonja Drive around 3:40 a.m. Friday due to reports of a woman yelling and screaming. When they got on the scene, they found a deceased person inside the residence.
The circumstances of the infant's death were not immediately known. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
Johnson has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
