An investigation remained ongoing in Clarksville following two, weekend motorcycle crashes in Clarksville.
The first happened at 3:39 p.m. Sunday on Fort Campbell Boulevard near Ashbury Road.
Police said a 73-year-old driver failed to yield to a motorcycle driven by a 22-year-old rider. The motorcycle collided into the front passenger door.
The victim was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was listed in critical but stable condition. The 73-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to Tennova to be treated for her injuries and was released.
The second crash happened about two hours later at the intersection of Beech Street and Providence Boulevard.
Police said a 41-year-old woman was traveling east on Providence Boulevard when a Yamaha VTC motorcycle, ridden by a 50-year-old man, was traveling south on Beech Street and did not stop at the red light.
The Ford Mustang collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was taken to Tennova by ambulance to be treated for his injuries.
Charges were pending in both cases.
