An investigation got underway overnight after a 39-year-old man was fatally shot in Clarksville.
The incident happened around 1:40 a.m. Thursday on Ernest Shelton Drive.
Clarksville Police officers were called to the scene after a report of shots being fired in the area. When they arrived, officers found that the victim, identified as Marcellus Lamar Flynn, had been shot.
He was taken to Tennova Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
