A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting in Clarksville.
The incident happened on September 4 in the area of Carter Road and Peachers Mill Road.
Officials confirmed a 28-year-old man was shot and taken by helicopter to an area hospital. A warrant for aggravated assault was later issued for 20-year-old Quantavious Golliday, of Clarksville.
Police said Golliday was taken into custody after a traffic stop late Monday night. An officer recognized the passenger as being Golliday, but the vehicle fled the scene.
Golliday was taken into custody a short time later. Police said drugs were found in his possession.
He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail early Tuesday morning on two counts of aggravated assault and simple possession.
