Two teens have been arrested in Clarksville in a string of vehicle burglaries.

Reports stated a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested in seven crimes that took place in the last week in the areas of Canvasback Drive, Tana Way, and Sunbelt Drive.

According to the teens, they went from neighborhood to neighborhood on foot to check for unlocked vehicles during the early morning hours.

Police said they were not looking for any items in particular.

Authorities confirmed the teens allegedly stole one vehicle after they found keys inside of the unlocked car. They then reportedly used the car to drive to other neighborhoods to break into vehicles.

According to reports, officials recovered the stolen vehicle.

Both teens have been charged with the burglaries. They were sent home with their parents.

Additional charges may be filed as the investigation remained ongoing.
