A murder suspect accidentally released from jail due to a "judicial system error" has turned himself in to police.

Deion Woodruff, age 22, was charged with first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery in connection to the fatal shooting of Isaac Morris in his Nashville apartment.

Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department believed Woodruff was in Morris' apartment to buy electronic equipment Morris was selling, and that's when the shooting took place.

His bond on those charges was set at $200,000. He was also being held on unrelated drug and weapon charges.

According to police, Woodruff was allowed to post a $56,000 bond on the unrelated charges last Thursday without the murder case being taken into account. The exact circumstances of how the error occurred were under review.

Criminal Court Judge Mark Fishburn on Friday revoked Woodruff’s bond on the murder case and issued a bench warrant.

Police said Woodruff turned himself in Tuesday morning.
