Clerk Hit With Large Rock During Robbery

Authorities have been searching for a suspect who allegedly hit a clerk with a rock during a robbery.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Thursday at Marley’s Market in the 100 block of Lafayette Street.

Reports stated the suspect went into the store and hit the clerk from behind with a large rock before taking cash from the register.

The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police described the suspect as a man in his late 30s standing around 6’1” tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds.
