CMA Fest 2018 is in the books.
On Sunday, CMA officials closed some of the outdoor stages early because of a storm.
"Earlier we were outside, and whatever event we were at, we got rained out at. We were at Chase Rice at Tin Roof, and it rained on us a little bit," Aubree Elston said. "So that was a bit of an issue, but we made it through."
While the sidewalks were wet, it didn't keep people from having fun.
"This is my Luke Bryan face!" Breanne Walkeden said, full of excitement.
Walkeden came all the way from Canada to see her favorite artists.
"We didn't feel the rain, but we felt a little bit bad for Easton Corbin because he was supposed to be up there, but otherwise we had an awesome time," Walkeden said.
She didn't mind the light rain.
"It was an awesome weekend, and maybe they need to cool things down because it got too hot," Walkeden said.
Even though a pop up storm caused a couple cancellations Sunday afternoon, most people went to the bars to take cover and make the most of it.
"We were talking to a few at Tootsies that were kind of bummed," Ali Daniels said. "They were down there waiting on him and came to have a drink, so I was bellied up to the bar."
Daniels and Jake Gruber welcomed the rain in the wake of all the heat.
"It was hot," Gruber said. "Took a nice break back at the Airbnb for a couple hours."
As temperatures soared into the 90s, more than 200 people received medical treatment for various issues throughout the festival, but it didn't slow some down.
"I haven't heard anyone talk about being upset about the weather, so I don't think anyone cares anyway," Jamie Warriner said.
As CMA Fest came to an end, most fans were left with memories that will last a lifetime.
"Amazing. I haven't seen this atmosphere in forever," Elston said.
It's going to be a busy day at Nashville International Airport on Monday. They expect 26,500 passengers from Bonnaroo and CMA Fest to be departing.
If you are flying out Monday, the best advice is to double check your flight time and arrive early.
