NASHVILLE, Tenn. -  Crews have transformed the Bridgestone Arena for the annual CMT Music Awards show Wednesday night.

The annual show has two new hosts this year, actor Brittany Snow and sports reporter Erin Andrews will guide the live broadcast.

It is the first time Snow has hosted a television awards show.

"I've never hosted anything before, so it was definitely nerve-racking, but it was exciting, because I questioned at first why I was chosen," Snow said.

But the "Pitch Perfect 2" star said she knew hosting the show could be a good opportunity for her.

"I was like, there aren't many opportunities that you get to do this, and actually it's a good life learning lesson for me that I can not fall, and not cry, and I'll get through it," Snow explained.

The two co-hosts said they hit it off as soon as they met, and they hope to bring that chemistry to the CMT stage.

"I think we really both have a dry sense of humor, can make fun of ourselves, make fun of everybody else. Don't stay around us too long," Andrews joked.

The sideline reporter and co-host of "Dancing with the Stars" admitted she is still star-struck when she sees celebrities.

"She pulls it together very well because she's successful, and she's been around a lot of famous people. I geek out when I see these people, and usually break out in a hive, so that'll be really exciting for tomorrow night," Andrews said.

Crews have been working inside Bridgestone Arena, preparing for the awards show, for the last nine days.

"It's a Rubik's Cube, and it does feel like it's starting to get solved," said executive producer John Hamlin.

The show is known for being fun, young and current. Hamlin said CMT will build on that tradition this year.

"We have great summertime songs in the show. Sam Hunt is going to do 'House Party.' Jake Owen is going to do his brand-new song, 'Real Life.' Kenny Chesney is going to do 'American Kids,'" Hamlin said.

Tickets for the show are sold out, but you can still see several performances outside Bridgestone Wednesday night.

"You can go to Lower Broadway, between 4th and 5th, we have a huge outdoor stage out there. Darius Rucker will perform, Florida Georgia Line will perform and Kenny Chesney will perform on the outdoor stage on Broadway," Hamlin explained.

The 2015 CMT Music Awards airs at 7 p.m.
