A former manager of Nashville Motor Cars, a dealership that mysteriously closed leaving customers in the lurch, was denied gaining his sales license back.
Monday, Michael Butine asked members of the Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission for them to grant him his sales license after losing it during the Motor Cars case.
He claimed he knew nothing about the problems owner, Randall Roth, was having at his Murfreesboro and Smyrna dealership locations in 2015.
A total of 24 consumer complaints were made against the dealerships including selling cars without titles and leaving liens unpaid on trade-ins.
