The Mt. Juliet Planning Commission voted to give a negative recommendation on the new development of a subdivision.
Owners of the Wintree Golf Course have proposed a plan to turn the 160-acre site into a 410-lot subdivision.
Thursday night’s discussions focused on the increased traffic the development could bring to the already congested area and the improvements that would be needed to Nonaville Road to make the development possible.
Several members of the community spoke against the development at the meeting.
The negative recommendation sent the proposal to the Mt. Juliet City Commission for review.
