A man was arrested for allegedly killing his wife and two children, leaving the Clarksville community to mourn their loss and question what pushed him to commit such a crime.

When Clarksville Police arrived at a home on Mills Drive just before 11 a.m. Thursday, they found three bodies inside; Keara Hazel, 23, and her two children, Kayden, 3, and Jaylynn, 9-months-old.

Their father and Keara's husband, Jordan Hazel, 27, is now charged in their deaths. He faces 3 counts of homicide.

We learned today the couple was fairly new to the neighborhood. They were married in 2016. Keara worked the front desk of a Clarksville hotel, her colleagues did not want to comment saying they're still processing what happened.

Neighbors wonder what could've driven a person to allegedly murder his entire family. "I can't imagine anything being that bad that you have to take kids' lives. It's sad that the mother got shot also but to take kids' lives? I don't think anything in the whole wide world would, could make me understand why a person would take a child's life," neighbor, Angela Rifkin said.

Police have not released any details about a possible motive. Hazel was booked into the Montgomery County jail Thursday night.

F&M Bank set up a burial fund Hazel and her children. Kathi Stokes, VP Collections Manager at F&M Bank, said Keara Hazel and her children did not have a life insurance policy. The burial fund is meant to help the family with expenses.

“The family is already suffering tremendously due to the horrific loss of Keara and her small children,” Stokes said.

Anyone who wishes to donate can visit any F&M Bank location in Clarksville and make a donation to Keara Hazel Children Burial Fund.
