Congressman Jim Cooper helped veterans find assistance in a workshop at the Nashville Public Library.
Tuesday’s event informed and helped veterans with benefits, employment, education and much more.
Cooper said events like this one are important for Tennesseans.
"It's really important for Tennessee to have events like this, because we cherish our veterans. We are the Volunteer state, and if Tennessee isn't going to support our veterans who is? So this is one stop shopping for the veterans in our area,” he said.
Representative Cooper said there was even some fly fishing done Tuesday.
