Less than one month after receiving multi-year sentences, convicted burglar Brandon Mundy was arrested for attempting to burglarize a neighbor's home.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said it happened late Wednesday afternoon.
A man had entered the home through a rear sliding glass door moments before one of the residents arrived. The resident saw the man, who was later identified as Mundy, walk out carrying a dark colored bag and took a cell phone photo.
Officers, on the ground and in the air in a helicopter along with a canine team searched for the suspect.
Mundy was ultimately found lying down hiding in a tree line. Officers found that he had taken an Xbox game system and money from the home.
He was charged with aggravated burglary Wednesday night and jailed in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
On Sept. 8, Mundy received two five-year sentences and one three-year sentence for burglary convictions. He was allowed to serve two of them through a community corrections program and one on probation.
