COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Police said a serial shoplifter was arrested again—this time after attempting to hide bacon under his coat at a grocery store.

Cookeville Police said William Carter III, of Algood, was arrested at the Save-A-Lot after an officer found four unopened packs of bacon worth nearly $50 under his coat.

They also found a glass crack pipe.

Carter has been accused of stealing from three other Cookeville stores in the past four months.

He has been charged with theft and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
