A couple was arrested after the man involved allegedly brought his 1-year-old grandchild with them to a heroin deal.
Metro Nashville Police Department officers arrested 51-year-old Lawrence Thompson and his girlfriend, 53-year-old Dean Mose.
Thompson allegedly took his grandson with him into the restroom of a fast food restaurant on Brick Church Pike as he made a heroin purchase. Moser and the two other children, a 4 and 6-year-old, waited in the car.
During a vehicle stop for running a traffic violation, Thompson handed detectives a folded piece of paper containing a small amount of heroin along with a spoon that was to have been used to cook it.
Thompson and Moser were charged with three counts of child endangerment, heroin possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
