The decision as to whether or not a teenager charged with murder will be charged as an adult has been continued to a later date.
Trinity Quinn, age 15, was expected to appear in court Thursday in a case that started back in May as an AMBER Alert; however, court officials confirmed her court date had been continued to November 22.
Quinn, along with Daniel Clark, have been charged with shooting and killing John Stevens while he was working at the Exxon station on Charlotte Pike. Stevens died at the scene.
Police said the pair went through Stevens' pockets and took his keys before trying to flee in a vehicle, but it wouldn't start.
Investigators said the teen had opportunities to run away and was never held against her will.
They were arrested just a mile and a half away on Charlotte Pike after an intense manhunt throughout the night and morning.
Quinn has now been scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court at 1 p.m. on November 22.
