Traffic has cleared after being backed up for about 5 miles behind a multiple vehicle crash on I-24 West.
The damaged vehicles and emergency responders have blocked both lanes at mile marker 54 near Thompson Lane, but traffic is driving past the crash on the shoulder.
Sky5 video showed what appeared to be three cars involved in the crash, with one car rear ending the first, then the next, a U-Haul truck, hitting it.
The crash was reported around 6:30 p.m., and was expected to be cleared by 7:30 p.m.
